Manav Mehta
Technical Manager — IT & Infrastructure
Online as vanam-san. I document my journey through technology, learning, and the occasional digital experiments. This website is my digital garden known as Technē Musings.
Background
It started with a computer running Windows XP, I watched my dad work on
it and got interested in it. I started tinkering it myself, working with
floppy disks and never stopped experimenting to understand them.
By 2012 I had an upgraded desktop and got into game modding thanks to
Mass Effect 3, The Witcher 3. I got involved in using the official mod
tools released by CD Projekt Red. Making mods and extending the game
shelf life. I also heavily modded Skyrim and Fallout 4, game modding was
my introduction to programming.
I then got involved in website hosting, system administration for
friends and family. If it had a button I was involved in fixing it and
learning about it.
Here is how that early curiosity evolved into a professional career:
Started tinkering on an old Windows XP machine, working with floppy
disks and learning computer hardware from an early age.
Fixed anything with a button for friends and family, establishing a
lifelong habit of hands-on exploration.
Started coding through game modding, creating mods for Mass Effect
3, The Witcher 3, and Skyrim. Learned .NET and gained experience
working with different game engines, which served as the accidental
introduction to programming.
Built WordPress websites, managed web hosting and domain services,
and configured and maintained Linux environments while pursuing an
engineering degree.
Led cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end IoT solutions
spanning hardware, firmware, backend, and cloud platforms.
Served as an internal lead conducting code reviews and technical
interviews.
Managed enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems across hybrid
environments, maintaining a 99.9% uptime for core business
operations.
Owned end-to-end IT and OT operations, established the
organization's first formal IT department, and engineered network
infrastructure following the Purdue model as the Head of IT.
Collaborated with Spanish and German partners to set up India's
first Industry 4.0 experience center.
Stepped into telecom and online streaming infrastructure, overseeing
robust data center operations.
Technē Musings
Technē (τέχνη) — the ancient Greek word for art, craft, or the knowledge behind making something.
Musings — thoughts, reflections, contemplations.
Together, Technē Musings is my open notebook — a living journal where I share what I'm learning, building, and thinking about. It's my way of connecting with fellow curious minds who find beauty in the craft of technology.
